About Me

As an Executive Producer and Series Producer I mostly work on Observational Documentaries, Factual Entertainment formats, and Social Experiment shows.  I have a specialist interest in the Edit after an 8 year stint working as either an Edit Producer or Series Editor on some of the UK's best loved shows.

I pride myself in mentoring and progressing the careers of those who work with me on productions.  I've helped various APs progress to EPs and PDs, and various PDs progress to Seniors and SPs.  I try hard to crew up people from varied backgrounds and from under-represented groups and always make sure my team get the support they need to do their job well and learn and grow.

Most recently, working as an Executive Producer for Lucy Pilkington's indie Milk and Honey, I've run two BBC series with a particular emphasis on training up new talent from under-represented groups.  This was highly successful and produced 11 wonderful shows, one of which was nominated for a Grierson Award.

I'm also on the management committee of the organisation We Are Doc Women, set up in 2019 by Clare Richards and Jane Merkin.  For this group I produce and run regular in-person and online panels, featuring industry experts on topics as varied as Storytelling for the Streamers, AI in Unscripted, and deep dives into the making of various shows and series featuring the film-makers themselves.

I divide my time between working on commissioned series, developing new ideas, running industry panels and events for film-makers, and training and mentoring others.

This combination of production work, development, panel producing, and training, gives me unique, up-to-date knowledge of the industry and allows me to help others in full confidence that my knowledge is relevant and on trend.
